Nik has a deep understanding of market trends, strong leadership, and management skills. Nik’s strategic vision and expertise continue to position Molecule Ventures for success. Nik previously served as a Senior Fellow for Climate Innovation and Policy at the Environmental Defense Fund and an adjunct professor of finance at NYU Stern School of Business, and a partner at JANA Partners LLC. He earned his JD and MBA from NYU and his BA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Nick is responsible for firm and fund operations, ensuring first-class oversight and execution. Nick previously worked in renewable energy development at Invenergy and served as a research assistant to Dr. Richard Sandor, the Founder of the Chicago Climate Exchange. Nick earned his MS in Sustainability Management from Columbia University and his BS in Business Management from Tulane University.
Gary advises the team on strategic decisions and helps navigate carbon market risks and opportunities based on an extensive background in the financial industry. Gary also serves as the founder and managing member of his family office, Claar Advisors. Gary previously served as the founding partner and co-portfolio manager at JANA Partners LLC, an investment firm known for activism and special situation investing, and as an adjunct professor at NYU Stern. He earned his BA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and his JD from the NYU School of Law.
With a combination of finance and energy experience, in a public and private capacity, Grant leads research efforts on European carbon markets and investment opportunities. Grant previously worked at the Department of Energy (ARPA-E), as a private equity associate at Thrivent, and a public power and utilities analyst at Morgan Stanley. Grant earned his MIA and MBA with honors from Columbia University and his BA in economics from Dartmouth College.
Hannah optimizes operational processes and contributes to market research. Previously, Hannah served as a Senior Consultant at Guidehouse. She earned her BS in Applied Mathematics and Environmental Engineering from UCLA.
Jason advances research on global carbon markets, leveraging his experience in energy and carbon trading to deliver actionable insights. Jason previously worked in carbon trading at bp. He earned his BS in accounting and finance from University of Houston.
Anna advances carbon market research, investor relations, and fund marketing. Previously, she served as a policy advisor at the White House National Economic Council and as an advisor in the Office of the Secretary at the U.S. Department of Commerce. She graduated magna cum laude from Harvard.
Laura ensures streamlined scheduling and efficient administrative support for the Molecule Ventures team.
